You say you made plans for Sunday morning and therefore you won't be in worship. Do not apologize to me, I am only human like you. If you feel like you need to apologize to someone, apologize to God whose word I preach. Apologize to God alone who is worthy of worship, but don't apologize to me.
You say you are too busy with other concerns to be active in the life of the church. Do not apologize to me, I'm not the One who put the church in the world. If you feel an apology is in order, apologize to HIM who is the head of the church, but don't apologize to me.
You say you'd like to give more money to the church and her mission than you do, but you can't because there are too many demands being made on your income. Do not apologize to me, I am not the One who daily grants you the strength, health and wisdom to earn a living from resources of this world which are not mine or yours. If you feel an apology is due someone, apologize to HIM who made it possible for you to have all you have, but do not apologize to me.
